WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Cottage in Westport is "cozy," "homey," and likened to a cottage by the sea in New England, said the New York Times in a review.
The new establishment's sophistication is in the menu, even though the decor evokes simplicity, according to New York Times.
Brian Lewis, its chef and owner, used to be the chef and owner of New Canaan's Elm and executive chef at the Bedford Post Inn, said the New York Times. He presides over "expertly prepared," food, the New York Times said.
Along with menu creation, Lewis handles shopping locally and all desserts are made by him, said the New York Times report.
