EASTON, Conn. — The Easton Community Center's summer camp programs offer kids from age 3 up to 14 a place to play, learn and explore.
Easton's preschool program, Play Tots, offers activities such as Spanish, computers, art, phys ed and much more.
Older kids get a big variety, as the Easton Community Center offers weekly themes such as Water World Week, Mystery Week, Space Week and Survival Week.
"The camp keeps the kids busy — there are always activities," said Alison Liebman, marketing director for the community center. "And we have an air-conditioned building, so if it rains or is too hot, the kids have a place to come inside.
"We make a video each week, so kids get to be really creative. The video showcases the theme and the children."
The Easton Community Center mixes things up all summer to keep it interesting and fun for the kids.
"They can also participate in a newspaper — creating articles and games and cartoons," Liebman said. "We have a rock-climbing wall, archery, a big field out back for games, and a nature walk trail. Indoor and outdoor activities."
Campers come from near and far.
"We get a lot of kids from around the area, and they have a great time, they all enjoy it," she said
