WESTPORT, Conn. -- Fairfield County-based Grateful Dead tribute band Terrapin will bring the grooves of the legendary jam band to Westport the next two Saturdays.
Terrapin will play at the Westport Rotary Club's Lobster Fest on Sept. 21 at Compo Beach and return to Bobby Q's on Sept. 28.
The band features founding members Matthew Winthrop of Westport, formerly of Greenwich, on keyboards and vocals, Geoff Schneider of Wilton on lead guitar and vocals and Paul Dunay of Greenwich on rhythm guitar and vocals as well as Dave Schimansky on drums and Ric Lubell on bass and vocals.
Terrapin will offer up a selection of Grateful Dead classics as well as some "surprise goodies" from other artists such as Bob Marley and the Rolling Stones. Included in the production is a fantastic LED lighting show.
