To qualify as a docent, you should enjoy history, and like working with people.

The docents are needed for the Victorian Cottage (1988) and Sun Tavern (1780) located on the Town Green and Museum Commons.

The buildings open in June. Docents are also needed to guide summer tours of the 1750 Ogden House at 1520 Bronson Road.

“This is the perfect time to get involved with the Fairfield Museum,” said Director of Education Christine Jewell.

“Students and adults from the area can be a part of history and share history with others as we open these innovative new exhibitions."

Students must complete their applications by April 21. Click here to download the application.

Adult docent training is offered on one of the following: Wednesday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to noon; Tuesday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to noon and Monday, March 27 from 1 to 3 p.m.

The museum is located at 370 Beach Road, Fairfield.
