Hanks, 37, is the oldest son of Oscar winner Tom Hanks and is known for his roles in the movie "Orange County" and the TV series "The Good Guys" and "Roswell."

His documentary examines how Tower Records went from a net worth of $1 billion to complete bankruptcy in just five years. The film asks this question and more, tracking the meteoric rise and tragic fall of the Tower Records empire and its tight-knit staff, whose bond proved stronger than its fate. This sentimental and richly woven documentary is equal parts nostalgic and powerful, combining stories of the employees who started the first store in Sacramento with the failures that led to its crash.

Hanks spoke to the Daily Voice about attending the Greenwich film festival and getting the documentary completed - a seven-year journey.

Stars, including Jenna Bush Hager, daughter of President George W. Bush, also turned out, along with others affiliated with the documentary. Check out a gallery of photos here on the Daily Voice.
