WESTPORT, Conn. – Staples High's girls track team won the opening 4 x 100 relay and the meet-ending 4 x 400 relay. The Wreckers did a lot of good things in between, too, to win their first Fairfield County Interscholastic Conference division championship since 2003.

Staples defeated Danbury, 85-60, and Ridgefield, 89-56, to sweep the tri-meet Monday afternoon. The victory raises Staples’ record to 7-0. Staples captured the Central Division title with the sweep. The Wreckers have two league meets left, but none of the teams left on its schedule are division ...
