Monday, Aug. 27

First Day of School: Summer is officially over for Westport public school children. School hours are as follows:

? Staples: 7:30 a.m. to 2:15 p.m.

? Coleytown Middle: 7:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

? Bedford Middle: 8 a.m. to 2:45 p.m.

? Saugatuck Elementary: 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

? Greens Farms: 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m.

? Kings Highway: 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

? Long Lots: 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.

? Coleytown Elementary: 8:45 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

TeenFlix: 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. See the PG-13 rated comedy “Dodgeball” starring Ben Stiller and Vince Vaughn at the Levitt Pavilion. The movie is about a group of misfits who enter a Las Vegas dodgeball tournament to save their cherished local gym from the onslaught of a corporate health fitness chain. The evening will open with an award-winning short film showed at the Westport Youth Film Festival. Free. Levitt Pavilion, 40 Jesup Road. Rain location is Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road.

Tuesday, Aug. 28

“Harbor” at the Westport Country Playhouse: 8 p.m. Don’t miss the world premiere of “Harbor,” a comedy about a dysfunctional, loving family written by Tony Award-nominated writer Chad Beguelin and directed by Mark Lamos. Wednesday, Aug. 29

Landscape Art Exhibit: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. See the “Landscape: Scene / Re-seen” exhibit at the Westport Arts Center before it closes Sunday. The exhibit features 20 major contemporary photographers from the Andrew and Christine Hall Collection who explore the way people look at landscapes as they are impacted by man’s footprint. Exhibiting artists include Ansel Adams, Bernd and Hilla Becher, Peter Bialobrzeski, Edward Burtynsky, Elger Esser, Andreas Gursky, Vera Lutter, Shirin Neshat, Thomas Ruff, Joel Sternfeld, Thomas Struth, and Hiroshi Sugimoto. Exhibit is on display through Sunday. Free. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.

Westport Historical Society Exhibits: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the last week to see the two exhibits on displays at the Westport Historical Society. The main exhibit, “The Sound & The Saugatuck,” explores the Saugatuck River. The second exhibit, “Watershed Moments,” distills 9,000 years of coastal history into its simplest terms. Exhibits run through Saturday. Free. Westport Historical Society, 25 Avery Place.

Thursday, Aug. 30

Westport Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It’s all about supporting the local economy at the Westport Farmers Market. You can find fresh produce, artisan meats and cheeses, freshly baked goods, organic foods, clothing and more. Free admission. Imperial Avenue parking lot.
