Friday, June 7

"Museum:" 7:30 p.m. Staples Players presents "Museum" by Tina Howe, a comedy that satirizes the subjective opinions about modern art. Tickets are $10 and available online. Toquet Hall Teen Center, 58 post Road E. (Another showing will be Sunday at 4 p.m.)

"Frost / Nixon:" 8 p.m. This comedic play revolves around British talk-show host David Frost and disgraced former president Richard M. Nixon. Determined to resurrect his career, Frost risks everything on a series of in-depth interviews in order to extract a public apology from Nixon, who is equally bent on redeeming himself in his nation’s eyes. Both men are desperate to out-talk and upstage each other as the cameras roll. Tickets are $18 to $20 and available online or by calling 203-226-1983. Memoir Cookbook Workshop: 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn how to preserve the memory of family members by recording family events, including special holidays, and by collecting family recipes for inclusion in your own memoir cookbook. Emphasis will be on writing strategies, including narrative, description and dialogue. Led by journalist, author and educator Rita Papazian. Cost is $95. Online pre-registration is required. Aztec Two-Step at Voices Café: 8 p.m. Folk-rock duo Aztec Two-Step will take the stage at Voices Café at Westport's Unitarian Church. Tickets are $30 in advance and available online. Doors opens at 7:30 p.m. The Unitarian Church, 10 Lyons Plains Road.

Sunday, June 9

Free Family Fun Day: 2 to 5 p.m. Sportsplex@Fairfield is opening its doors to the public for this fourth annual event. Enjoy a rock climbing tower, ice skating, an open gym, fencing trials, a wellness expo, demonstrations, food vendors, music, giveaways and more. Free admission. 85 Mill Plain Road, Fairfield.
