Girls Night Out: 6:30 to 8 p.m. Middle school-age girls can make new friends and develop better social skills. Girls will learn to identify and utilize positive social cues, develop conversation skills, initiate new relationships and foster lasting friendships. Group meets every Friday until June 21. *UPDATE: Westport Chicken Coop Tour: 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take a self-guided tour through Westport to see some of the town's most charming chicken coops and learn everything you've always wanted to know about backyard chicken keeping during this second-annual event. The tour kicks off at 10 a.m. From 9 to 10 a.m., there will be a chicken-keeping workshop and book signing featuring Lauren Scheuer at Wakeman Town Farm. "Lorikeets" Exhibit: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Spend the day at this new Maritime Aquarium exhibit featuring over 50 free-flying, colorful and friendly lorikeets. These medium-sized parrots are native to the south Pacific. Admission into the exhibit is free, but visitors can purchase a $3 cup of nectar to feed the lorikeets. Exhibit closes daily between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Maritime Aquarium, 10 North Water St., Norwalk.

Israel @ 65 Celebration: 2 p.m. Celebrate the 65th anniversary of Israel's founding with a concert featuring renowned Israeli world music group The Shuk. The event will also feature an Israeli marketplace of unique wares. Admission into the market place is free. Tickets for the concert, which starts at 5 p.m., range from $18 to $50 and are available online . Proceeds benefit Beit Singer, Israel, a residential program for children and teens rescued from neglect and abuse. Westport Country Playhouse, 25 Powers Court.
Monday, May 27
Westport Memorial Day Parade: 9 a.m. Don't miss the town's annual Memorial Day parade. It starts at Saugatuck Elementary on Riverside Avenue and will end in Parker-Harding Plaza. A memorial ceremony will follow immediately on Veterans Green.
