ArtCafé: 10 to 11 a.m. Meet other art enthusiasts and learn about exhibitions to visit in the greater community. Use The New York Times Friday Arts Section as a springboard to discuss the latest exhibitions. Coffee and muffins will be served. Free. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.
"A Chorus Line:" 3 and 7:30 p.m. Don't miss this classic musical performed by the Staples Players. Tickets are $10 for students and $15 for adults, and can be purchased online or at the door 30 minutes before showtime. Finals performances are Saturday at 3 and 7:30 p.m. Staples High School, 70 North Ave.

Kite Day: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take the family to Earthplace to discover all things that soar. Make your own kite, pinwheels and wind socks, meet winged creatures like parrots and bats, play frisbee, go on a scavenger hunt and more. Food vendors will be on site. There's a $5 material fee for craft projects. Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane.

Conservation Quest : 1 to 5 p.m. Kids are invited to experience hands-on museum exhibits in the Westport Library Children's Library. Free. Westport Library, 20 Jesup Road.
"Hello I Must Be Going" Screening: 4 p.m. See the independent comedy that was film in Westport starring Melanie Lynskey and Blythe Danner. Hosted by the Westport Cinema Initiative, the event will feature a talk back with writer Sarah Koskoff and director Todd Louiso. Tickets are $10 and available at the door or online .
