What To Do In Westport This Weekend

Friday, Jan. 25

William Wegman Exhibit: 6:30 to 8 p.m. “William Wegman: The Traveler,” a new exhibit at the Westport Arts Center, opens with a reception and book signing featuring the artist himself. Free and open to the public. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave. 

Saturday, Jan. 26

Dish Gardens Workshop: 10 to 11 a.m. Learn how to make kokedama bonsai, a style of dish garden in which small trees grow from a hill of moss. Reservations required. Cost is $20 per person and includes soil, rocks, embellishments and instruction. Terrain, 561 Post Road E.

Writing Workshop For Mothers: 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  Learn how to make time to write, how to keep a journal, and how to capture and preserve those important moments of childhood in a way far better than any photo or video. Cost is $75. Register online. Westport Writers Workshop, 3 Sylvan Road S.

Sunday, Jan. 27

Game On! 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Kids ages 3 and up can discover the athlete within themselves by participating in outdoor games with the museum coach (weather permitting). Kids will  learn about teamwork, accomplishment, responsibility, friendship and more. Free. Arrive early and sign up at the welcome desk.
