Representative Town Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The town's legislative body will discuss whether it should, at the request of at least 20 residents, vote to support gun- control legislation in the U.S. and urge the president and Congress, as well as Connecticut state legislators, to enact a ban on automatic and semi-automatic assault weapons and high-capacity magazine clips. WestportREADS Out Loud: 7:30 to 9 p.m. As part of the WestportREADS 2013, residents are invited to read "The Great Gatsby" and join in on a series of events and discussions based on the book. During this event, residents can come to the library and have the first two chapters read to them by a host of local celebrity readers, including Library Director Maxine Bleiweis, Staples High School English teacher Dan Geraghty, actress Patricia Kalember and First Selectman Gordon Joseloff.
