Candidates Debate: 7 to 9 p.m. Westports state representative and state Senate candidates will go head-to-head on the issues during a debate co-sponsored by the League of Women Voters and the Westport PTA Council. Free. Westport Town Hall, auditorium, 110 Myrtle Ave.
Tuesday, Oct. 16
Middle School Cop Shop: 6:30 p.m. The Westport Police-Youth Collaborative is hosting a cop shop for middle school students. Cop shops are informal discussions between police officers and kids. The main topic of this discussion is It Can Happen to Anybody: Practical Information for Every Middle School Student About Healthy Relationships. Free. Toquet Hall, 58 Post Road E.
Wednesday, Oct. 17
Healing Wings of Hope Butterfly Release: 3:30 p.m. Ninety-four butterflies, representing the number of domestic-violence cases reported in Westport last year, will be released to help raise awareness about domestic violence during the Healing Wings of Hope event. Butterflies can be sponsored for $10. Proceeds benefit the Domestic Violence Crisis Center. Earthplace, 10 Woodside Lane.
Dinner Doodles Reception: 6 p.m. Napkin drawings created by Westport restaurant patrons during Restaurant Week will be on display during this one-night-only exhibit featuring refreshments, music and prizes. Free. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.

Westport Farmers Market: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Its all about supporting the local economy at the Westport Farmers Market. You can find fresh produce, artisan meats and cheeses, freshly baked goods, organic foods, clothing and more. Free admission. Imperial Avenue parking lot.
Nintendo Rehab: 7 to 9 p.m. Learn how to reconstruct a Nintendo back to working condition. Bring an original first generation Nintendo from home, or work on consoles provided in the Maker Space. Free to attend; $15 to repair your own and bring it home. For middle school and up. Advance registration required. Westport Library Maker Space, 20 Jesup Road.
