Columbus Day: In observance of Columbus Day, Westport Public Schools, Town Hall and the Westport Public Library are closed.
Flu Shot Clinic: 8 to 11 a.m. Visiting Nurse Services of Connecticut will offer flu shots at the Westport Weston Family Y. The cost of the shot is covered by the following insurances: Medicare, Anthem Blue Cross of CT, Aetna and ConnectiCare. Cost is $30 with no insurance. Westport Weston Family Y, 59 Post Road E.

Candidate Environmental Forum: 7:30 p.m. Hear what Westports state representative candidates have to say about environmental issues. The debate will be between state Rep. Jonathan Steinberg, D-136th District, and his Republican challenger Stephen Rubin; and state Rep. Gail Lavielle, R-143rd District, and her opponent, Democrat Ted Hofstatter. Free. Lunch Café: 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Enjoy a free catered lunch and a discussion on climate change out on the deck as part of the Lunch Cafe fall series. Free. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.
Comedy Show: 7 p.m. In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Westports CLASP Homes, a nonprofit that serves adults with autism and related developmental disabilities, is hosting a comedy show starring comedians Jon Fisch and Moody McCarthy. There will be free hors d oeuvres and a cash bar. Tickets are $45 or $55 and can be purchased online . Fairfield Theatre Company, StageOne, 70 Sanford St., Fairfield.
