WESTPORT, Conn. – The Westport Police Department is kicking off its annual Holiday Toy Drive this weekend, and a kid-friendly musical will take the stage at the Westport Country Playhouse. Visit our Events calendar to see more events happening over the weekend.
Friday, Dec. 7
“The Woman In Black:” 8 p.m. This is the last weekend to see this Westport Community Theatre production. Based on the novel of the same name by Susan Hill, "The Woman in Black" tells the macabre tale of London solicitor Arthur Kipps, who travels to a remote part of England to settle the estate of a recently deceased client. Other showtimes are Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 to $20 and are available online or by calling the box office at 203-226-1983. Saturday, Dec. 8
Westport Police Holiday Toy Drive: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Westport Police Department will collect new, unwrapped and unopened toys to distribute to local children in need. Cash donations will also be accepted. Toy drive continues Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m in the parking lot at the Athletic Shoe Factory, 1560 Post Road E.
Sunday, Dec. 9
"Angelina Ballerina:" 1 and 4 p.m. Westport Country Playhouse presents “Angelina Ballerina, The Musical” the story of a feisty mouse with dreams of becoming a prima ballerina. Based on the books by Katharine Holabird and Helen Craig and the PBS Kids animated series. Recommended for kids ages 6 to 10. Tickets are $18 and available online or by calling the box office at 203-227-4177.
