Representative Town Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The RTM will vote on the school board's request to fund a $100,000 school security study. See the full agenda online. Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

Wednesday, March 6

Board of Finance Meeting: 8 p.m. The proposed 2013-14 town and Board of Education budgets will be presented. See full agenda online. Westport Town Hall, 110 Myrtle Ave.

Thursday, March 7

Terrain Terrariums: 5:30 to 7 p.m. Create a terrarium that brings your favorite plants into the home year-round. Reservations are required: $20 per person. Cost includes instruction, potting materials and embellishments. Plants and vessels will be available for purchase. Terrain, 561 Post Road E.

Teen Author Annabel Monaghan: 7:30 to 9 p.m. Author Annabel Monaghan will speak about her new book, "A Girl Called Digit," about a high school math genius who finds her senior year turned upside down when she unknowingly cracks a terrorist code.
