Monday, Feb. 4

Board of Education Meeting: 7:30 p.m. The board will vote on the 2013-14 budget and on class size guidelines. See the full agenda online. Staples High School, Cafeteria B, 70 North Ave.

Tuesday, Feb. 5

Westport Y Groundbreaking Ceremony: 2 to 3 p.m. A groundbreaking ceremony is planned to celebrate the start of construction on the new Westport Weston Y facility at Mahackeno. The public is welcome to attend. Y Mahackeno Outdoor Center, 14 Sunny Lane.

Climate Reality Project On 'An Inconvenient Truth:' 7 to 9 p.m. Lewis Blaustein, a certified Climate Reality Project leader will give an updated version of the slide show presentation that formed the basis of "An Inconvenient Truth." Westport Library, McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road. 

Wednesday, Feb. 6

Chess Club: 4 to 4:45 p.m. Kids from kindergarten through 12th grade are invited to be a part of the Chess Club. All levels welcome. Free. Westport Library, McManus Room, 20 Jesup Road.

Thursday, Feb. 7

Drink N' Draw: 7 to 9 p.m. Explore a variety of techniques while drawing from a live nude model in a relaxed and informal environment. Hot and cold beverages and tasty treats will be served. Open to drawers of all levels ages 21 and up. Cost is $15 or $10 WAC members. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.
