Monday, Jan. 21

Fashion Forward: 10 a.m. to noon. Fashionistas between the ages of 6 and 10 can go wild with materials to create wearable art including hats, masks and costumes. Cost is $40 for Westport Arts Center members, $45 for non-members. Westport Arts Center, 51 Riverside Ave.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Workshop: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Kids ages 5 to 11 can celebrate the life of civil rights icon Martin Luther King, Jr. during an art-themed observance of the national holiday in his honor. Natural Recipes Tasting: 3 to 4 p.m. Taste a selection of nutrition-packed dishes from Heidi Swanson’s award-winning cookbook "Super Natural Everyday." Reservations are required. $10 per person. Cost includes recipes, instruction and tasting. Terrain, 561 Post Road E.

8th-Grade Parent Night: 7 to 8:30 p.m. Parents of eighth-grade students are invited to attend a presentation at Staples High School, in the auditorium. 70 North Ave.

Thursday, Jan. 24

Jobseeker Special for Recent College Grads and College Seniors: 9:30 a.m. to noon. Mel Sorcher, organizational psychologist and author of "Beat the Odds Interviews: the Amazing Untold Truth About Interviewing for Your First Post-College Job," will lead this training session focused on interviewing skills.
