WESTPORT, Conn. -- The students of EK Theater will present the story of "Nioble" from Ovid's "Metamorphoses" using the XBox game "Halo: Reach" at Toquet Hall in Westport on Jan. 28.
The students will demonstrate how they use video games to tell stories in their own way. The New York Times called their work “an impressive feat of engineering, coordination and storytelling in which the performers are children themselves.”
During the program, audience members will have the opportunity to control the different characters and to speak lines in a scene-by-scene reconstruction of the piece.
The program begins at 6 p.m. and is free to students in grades 8 through 12. Registration is recommended by visiting www.toquethall.org .
