WESTPORT, Conn. -- Linda Wolk-Simon, director and chief curator of Fairfield University’s Bellarmine Museum of Art, will introduce Leah Wolchock's documentary "Very Semi-Serious" Wednesday in the Westport Library’s McManus Room.

The screening of "Very Semi-Serious" will follow Wolk-Simon's introduction. The 2015 documentary follows New Yorker cartoon editor Bob Mankoff as he sifts through hundreds of submissions and pitches every week to bring readers a carefully curated selection of insightful and humorous work.

The documentary's running length is 83 minutes. Click here to view the trailer.

The free program is co-sponsored with the Bellarmine Museum of Art in conjunction with its current exhibit of New Yorker cartoonist Edward Koren.“

Prior to working at the Bellarmine Museum of Art, Wolk-Simon served in many posts at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, including curator for the Department of Drawings and Prints and assistant curator of the Robert Lehman Collection -- a diverse collection of paintings, sculpture, textiles, glass, ceramics and old master drawings. While at The Met, she organized a highly attended Raphael exhibition and was co-curator of the well-received "Art and Love in Renaissance Italy."

Wolk-Simon has a Ph.D. in history of art and an undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan.
