The Westport Library is once again hosting "Star Wars Reads Day," an annual national multi-publisher initiative that celebrates reading and “Star Wars” on Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The program is free and open to the public. Activities will include:
- 11 a.m.-3 p.m.: Clone Wars Animated Film Festival (Higgins Room)
- 10-11:30 a.m.: Sculpt a Star Wars Character with Children's Library sculptor in residence Chris Crowe. (Seminar Room)
- 1 p.m.-3 p.m.: Connecticut artist and illustrator Nick Palazzo will teach how to sketch "Star Wars" characters. (The Great Hall)
- 2 p.m.: Shake Shack offers a special free "Dark Side" custard. (The Great Hall)
- All day: coloring sheets in the Children’s Library.
Also part of the event, celebrate the one-year anniversary of the library’s robots, Nancy and Vincent.
