To open the day’s event, Near & Far Aid will host a pre-tour designer power breakfast at the Patterson Club in Fairfield featuring designer Anthony Baratta. One of the most celebrated and respected interior designers, Baratta will discuss in depth ways of using color and design. He will be available that morning for a signing of his recent book, “All-American: The Exuberant Style of William Diamond and Anthony Baratta.”
“Near & Far Aid’s Designer House tour provides an inside look of some of the area’s most exquisite homes that are decorated by top-tier designers while helping to support our organization’s mission to target poverty in our back yard,” said Jessica Grutkowski, co-chair of the house tour and Southport resident.
Near & Far Aid provides funding for agencies and programs in Fairfield County that are working to break the cycle of poverty. For over 60 years, Near & Far Aid has remained an all-volunteer organization, currently working with more than 100 local agencies that address the causes and effects of poverty, and has granted over $14 million since 2000.
New to this year’s tour is an afternoon tea party from 1-3 p.m. at a private home. The tea party will be catered by the Royal Tea Company.
“The house tour has become a springtime tradition and it is a fun-filled day of touring amazing homes, getting design inspiration and unique décor ideas for your own home,” said co-chair, Christine Enea Yeranossian of Fairfield.
Tickets for the tea party are $35 per person. Ticket prices for the Designer House Tour are $65 in advance or $75 on the day of the tour. The Designer Breakfast is $75.
