WESTPORT, Conn. – Shoppers won’t be the only ones strolling Westport’s Main Street Oct. 29. The street will be crawling with vampires, witches and everything in between during the annual children’s Halloween Parade.
During the parade, which begins at 3 p.m., children will trick-or-treat along Main Street, Avery Place and at town hall. There will be entertainment, refreshments and small gifts available at Veterans Green on Myrtle Avenue at 3:45 p.m.
The parade is for children 7 and under. Children and parents are asked to meet in front of the Westport Weston Family Y on the corner of Post Road and Main Street at 3 p.m. There will be no parking on Main Street between 2-4 p.m.
In the event of rain, all festivities will take place at town hall beginning at 3 p.m.
The parade is organized by the Westport Parks and Recreation Department, the Downtown Merchants Association and Westport Police Athletic League.
