WESTPORT, Conn. -- Aspire Fitness of Westport will conduct Pushups for Charity on May 25 to support military personnel who were wounded in service.
The fundraiser begins at 10 a.m. at Aspire, at 44 Main St., third floor. Donations can be made through the team's CrowdRise Page or by sponsoring a participant. Anyone can register and join the Aspire team. The event is free.
"We're excited to give back to those who serve our country every day. The idea is a community driven fitness event where everyone is having fun, pushing hard and raising money and awareness for our military personnel" said Tommy Baker, owner and head coach at Aspire.
For the second year in a row Pushups for Charity will benefit the Boot Campaign, a national 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to showing tangible appreciation of our military, raising awareness of the challenges they face upon return and supporting their transition home.
