WESTPORT, Conn. – An enthusiastic crowd took advantage of sleigh rides, an outdoor campfire and hot chili Saturday at the Earthplace Winter Fest.
"It's the third annual Winter Fest and people are here to break cabin fever," said Becky Newman, an Earthplace director.
Earthplace operates a nursery school and summer camp and is located on a 62-acre sanctuary with walking trails and live animal and birds of prey exhibits inside.
Winter Fest attendees also were treated to a snowshoe demonstration, crafts events, ice sculptures and Zumba dancing.
