Wesport Library Offers Workshop On Solving Computer Problems

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A series of classes are now being offered at the Westport Library to solve common computer programs.

The series, called “Anyone Can Use …,” offers instruction by the library’s technology team on the basics of Microsoft Word, Google Drive, Excel, Twitter and Publisher.

Classes begin Sept. 11 and run Fridays from 11 a.m. to noon. The classes, held in the library’s Seminar Room, are for beginners and are free and open to the public. Registration is available online. Laptops will be provided. 

Classes are as follows:

  • Sept. 11: Microsoft Word 2013
  • Sept. 18: Google Drive, including Google docs (you must have a Google account for this class). 
  • Oct. 2: Microsoft Excel 2013. Excel basics such as style, data, formulas and chart creation. 
  • Oct. 9: Twitter. Basics including account setup, who to follow, hashtags and posting photos and videos. 
  • Oct. 16: Microsoft Publisher
