Team Westport To Hold Community Conversation On Race, Ethnicity, Religion

WESTPORT, Conn. -- A community conversation about race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and sexual identity will be held Sunday, Jan. 8 at Saugatuck Congregational Church in Westport.

TEAM (Together Effectively Achieving Multiculturalism) Westport is hosting the event. The moderator will be the Rev. Allison Patton, Pastor.

All are welcome and invited to participate.

"As 2017 begins, what concerns you? What do you wonder? Come and respectfully listen to your neighbors and share your own experiences in a community forum," TEAM Westport Chair Harold Bailey said.

“These discussions will provide an ongoing opportunity for members of the community to discuss the topics upon which TEAM Westport is focused, in a safe forum attuned to the latest developments locally, nationally and globally.”

TEAM Westport is the town committee focused on making Westport an increasingly welcoming community with respect to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and sexual identity.

The discussion will be at 3 p.m. at the church, 245 Post Road East, Westport.
