WESTPORT, Conn. -- Residents can enjoy food from some of the town's best restaurants while helping a good cause at the 11th Annual Taste of Westport from 6 to 9:30 p.m. Thursday, May 7, at The Westport Inn.
Stamford Ford Lincoln is title sponsor of this culinary benefit of the year. It will feature some of the area’s premiere restaurants, serving guests non-stop food and drink tastings—all included in one ticket price. Nearly two dozen eateries will take part.
New this year, guests are invited to an intimate VIP Pre-party with Neil Fuentes, the Singing Chef. Neil is a dynamic talent who will entertain guests with a musical cooking performance featuring his band. Guests to the pre-party will also enjoy a special drink offering and early admission to the event.
The event’s silent auction includes an incredible variety of items, including VIP tickets to the "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" with New York City dinner and transportation; Jimmy Fallon’s "Tonight Show;" NASCAR race tickets with hotel; a late season Red Sox vs. Yankees game; a "Today" show concert; Sonoma Wine tour; Newport yacht experience; unique art; designer handbags and jewelry; and even a chance to have Mike Greenberg record your phone greeting.
Most important, all proceeds benefit CLASP Homes. A Westport nonprofit organization, CLASP provides housing, food, and high quality personalized services that enhance independence, dignity and continued growth for area adults living with autism and other developmental disabilities.
