WESTPORT, Conn. -- Is Grease your favorite summer film ever? Do you know every lyric to every song? Then head to the Westport Library as it offers the Rockin' Rydell Sing-Along edition of the beloved movie musical at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 26.
Join this fun, free sing-along version of the classic film Grease in the Westport Library’s McManus Room -- 1950s attire is welcome. Afterward, attendees can enjoy Grease -inspired "Pink Lady" custard from Shake Shack.
In the film, it’s 1959 in California, and greaser Danny Zuko (played by John Travolta) and Australian Sandy Olsson (played by Olivia Newton-John) are in love.
They frolic at the beach in the summer, but discover differences between them when they return to Rydell High School.
Danny is the leader of the T-Birds, a group of black-jacket greasers, while Sandy hangs with the Pink Ladies, a group of girls who always wear pink.
When they clash at Rydell’s first pep rally, Danny isn’t the same Danny at the beach. They try to be like each other so they can be together. Experience why it's one of the highest grossing movies of all time.
