The wine tasting is Saturday, Sept. 27, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the store, located at 86/88 Danbury Road in Ridgefield.

“It’s our way of saying thank you to the community for supporting us,'' owner Doug Thompson said.  “And this year we are honored to support our veterans. We know we prepare our soldiers for war, and now we’d like to help combat veterans decompress from that effort and come to terms with their wartime experiences upon their return. Our non-profit recipient ‘Warrior Hike- Walk Off the War’ does just that!”

There will be more than 50 wines, and entertainment by the Angry O’Haras!.  Bernard’s Restaurant, and Dimitri’s will provide food, and commemorative glasses will be given to the first 150 ticket holders.

Tickets are $40 per person at the door, or $35 in advance. People can purchase tickets in advance at Cellar XV, or call 203-894-8690 or email Betsy@CellarXV.com with your credit card info.

As an added incentive, guests who purchase six  or more bottles of wine that evening will be offered 10 percent off the wine total.  If guests choose not to take your discount, Cellar XV will donate 15 percent of your wine total to Warrior Hike- Walk Off the War!

All ticket profits will be donated to Warrior Hike to support their work helping combat servicemen and women transition from war arenas to civilian life.
