WESTPORT, Conn. -- Rabbi Philip Lazowski will discuss his experience with the Jewish resistance against the Nazis during a talk Sunday, Jan. 24 at the Westport Library.
In 1942, when he was 12, Lazowski escaped from the Polish town of Zetl and lived for two years in the woods as a member of a partisan group that worked to thwart the Nazis.
The talk will be preceded by the short film, "Introduction to the Jewish Partisans." The Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation is the community partner for this event.
The event is at 3 p.m. in the McManus Room. The library is at 20 Jesup Road, Westport. For more information about the library and upcoming events, check out its website, or follow it on Facebook or Twitter.
