Photographer Shows Scenes Of Post-War Vietnam In Westport Event

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Award winning photographer and journalist Bill Barnett will make an audio-visual presentation entitled “Vietnam: A Photographer’s Stories”" to the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) on Tuesday, March 8, in Westport.

The presentation will be at The Saugatuck Congregational Church, 245 Post Road East in Westport. Doors open, wine, appetizers, pasta, salad and desserts from 6:30 p.m., and presentation from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. AMC members and non-members are welcome to attend. The cost is $10 for members and $15 for non-members. Participants are asked to bring along a dessert to share if they can. No reservations and pay is only accepted at the door. In this presentation, Barnett will explore the country of Vietnam 40 years after the Vietnam War ended. Six different parts of the country and a wide variety of photographic locations will be included. 

Approximately 250 still images, video clips, live narration, locally recorded sounds, and music are blended to tell multimedia stories from a visit to modern Vietnam.
