Diana Almodovar, 23 (above), was taken to Bergen Regional Medical Center with an undisclosed injury and the minors — three 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old — were brought to the Juvenile Detention Center in Teterboro following the Outwater Lane incident, which began just before 1 a.m.

Officers recovered three knives and a can of Hot Shot insect spray, Detective Capt. Darren Sucorowski said this afternoon.

Police got the call at 12:53 a.m. of the group using a knife and a can of Mace trying to get in the front door, Sucorowski said.

Responding officers spotted the would-be intruders on the front steps moments later, he said.

All five fled.

Almodoba and three juveniles were quickly taken into custody.

Officer Sebastian Tyburski chased the fourth boy, who vanished into a yard on Prospect Street, the captain said. The tracking dog was brought in and found the teen near Outwater Lane and Shaw Street just before 1:45 a.m.

He was carrying several folds of heroin, Sucorowski said.

Almodoba was ordered held on $300,000 bail, charged with armed burglary, robbery, conspiracy, hindering, child endangerment and four counts each of employing juveniles in a crime and illegal weapons possession.

The boys were served delinquency complaints charging armed burglary, conspiracy and weapons offenses.
