Native American Storyteller at Sherwood Island in Westport

Hear about the Native American history behind Sherwood Island Nature Center’s Three Sisters Garden from Native American storyteller Trudie Richmond. A member of the Schaghticoke Tribal Nation Richmond, will be dressed in native regalia as she talks about the legend of the Three Sisters and offers insight into the lifestyles of the Algonquin and Iroquois people who live in the area. Visitors will also see and be able to touch cornhusk dolls and other traditional objects.
