WESTPORT, Conn. -- Intimate Apparel , the Pulitzer Prize-winning play by Lynn Nottage, has begun its run at the Westport Country Playhouse.
The play, which will be presented through Nov. 1, is set in New York City in 1905 and concerns a young African-American woman who travels to New York to pursue her dreams. It is directed by Mary Robinson.
Before Wednesday's 8 p.m. curtain, there will be a 6:30 p.m. showing of Darryl Pinckney's The Fight for Black American Voting Rights.
