WESTPORT, Conn. – American pop legend Frankie Valli and his group The Four Seasons are performing in Westport Friday night for the annual summer gala concert at the Levitt Pavilion.
The event, which is expected to draw 2,000 people or more, is ticketed. Proceeds from the event help underwrite the more than 50 free nights of entertainment at the Levitt, said Carleigh Welsh, marketing and communications director for the Levitt.
“This year’s benefit is particularly exciting because it’s very likely this will be the last gala concert to take place at the Levitt as is, before it’s transformed,” Welsh said. “We hope everyone comes out not only to support this event and in turn, support our free summer season, but also to support us in saying goodbye to old place.”
During the 90 minute concert, Valli will perform a variety of greatest hits, including "Big Girls Don't Cry," "Walk Like a Man," "Rag Doll," "Can't Take My Eyes Off You,” "Oh What a Night," “Grease” and more.
There are three levels of tickets available for concert-goers: patron seating, preferred seating and premium seating. The premium tickets cost $250 each and include seating in the front section, as well as admission into both a pre- and post-concert party. The pre-concert party will feature an open bar, appetizers and an auction likely to include a meet-and-greet with Valli. The post-concert party will also feature an open bar, coffee and desserts.
Preferred seating is located in the middle section and tickets are $95 each. Patron seating, located in the rear, costs $75 each. Chairs are provided in every section.
Beer and wine will be available for sale at the concert to those 21 and older with a valid photo ID. Concessions will also be for sale. People wishing to bring their own food must store items in a cooler small enough to fit under a folding chair, Welsh said, as large coolers will not be allowed.
The concert begins at 9 p.m. and gates open at 7:30 p.m. The event is sponsored by Honda of Westport, BTS, RBC Wealth Management and Poland Springs. Tickets are available for purchase online. For more information, visit the Levitt Pavilion website.
