Human Services Council's SoNo Stroll To Raise Money For Westport Programs

NORWALK, Conn. — The Human Services Council will present its Seventh Annual SoNo Stroll Benefit on Wednesday, June 10.

This year’s cocktail reception takes place at Johnny Utah’s South Norwalk, 80 Washington St. Johnny Utah’s provides country flair, down-home cooking, line dancing and mechanical-bull riding. The SoNo Stroll festivities kick off at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $150 per person.

There also will be live and silent auction items. This year’s items include Giants, Yankees, Patriots and Rangers tickets, a week-long stay on a private island on the St. Lawrence River, lodging opportunities in Las Vegas, Vermont, Orlando and France, a BB King signed guitar, a Taylor Swift signed photo, golf foursomes, summer camp opportunities, spa experiences, specialty handbags and clothing, a $2,500 Porch & Patio gift certificate, police chief for a day, jewelry, dinner gift certificates and more.

After the cocktail reception at Johnny Utahs, guests will enjoy a three-course dinner at 8 p.m. from a signature menu at one of the many participating SoNo restaurants.

Proceeds from the event will pay for critical children and family programs enabling the council to continue to empower, educate and safeguard the people in the five-town area it serves.

In 2014, the Human Services Council provided direct services to more than 1,500 people, and positively touched the lives of more than 8,000 individuals in the towns of New Canaan, Norwalk, Westport, Wilton, and Weston.

The Human Services Council is home to: Children’s Connection, the Norwalk Mentor Program, the Dr. Robert E. Appleby School Based Health Centers, the Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition and 40 South Main Street Housing.
