The day’s festivities kick off with the Designer Power Breakfast, which will take place at The Patterson Club, 1118 Cross Highway, Fairfield, from 9-10:30 a.m.

The Near & Far Aid 2016 Designer House Tour will offer patrons an inside-look at a curated selection of luxury properties in the enclaves of Fairfield, Southport and Westport.

Tickets for the breakfast are $75.

“Working with Connecticut Cottages & Gardens as our exclusive event media sponsor allows us to provide our patrons with current, exciting speakers,” said Joan Panagos, president of Near & Far Aid. “We absolutely cannot wait to hear from Anthony Baratta about his latest projects, insights into the decorating landscape and what’s ahead for the design world.”

Baratta began his career 30 years ago after combining his talents with William Diamond. Their firm Diamond Baratta Design has since earned awards, accolades and editorial placements in publications like "Architectural Digest," "World of Interiors," "House Beautiful," "Verdana" and "House & Garden," among others.

Following the breakfast, Baratta will be available to sign a limited number of copies of his book, “All-American: The Exuberant Style of William Diamond and Anthony Baratta,” which will be available for purchase in the lobby.

There will also be a chance to win a pair of diamond earrings, donated by Henry C. Reid & Son Jewelers.
