Former Navy Fighter Pilot Speaks At Westport Sunrise Rotary Meeting

WESTPORT, Conn. – Former Navy fighter pilot Dave Dequeljoe of Westport will discuss his service with Operation Iraqi Freedom at the Westport Sunrise Rotary breakfast meeting.

The breakfast event will be Friday, Aug. 1, at 7:30 a.m. at Bobby Q’s Restaurant, located at 42 Main St. There is a $12 fee, which includes a breakfast buffet.

Dequeljoe is a graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a former Navy F-14 Tomcat fighter pilot. He served two tours in Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in 2003 and 2005.

He was awarded a Navy Commendation with Combat V and three Air Medals. He returned to the United States to become a small-business owner and graduated from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government in May.
