WESTPORT, Conn. – Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County will host its annual benefit, “Toast to Success,” from 5:30-8 p.m. Wednesday, May 18 at the Westport Inn.
The benefit is in support of Dress for Success’ mission to empower women to achieve economic independence. Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County invites all to a fun-filled spring evening to raise awareness of the challenges facing low-income women and the role fashion can play in building confidence and helping women overcome the obstacles of unemployment.
At this event, fashion, community and corporate sectors come together to support the unique work of Dress for Success Mid-Fairfield County. The event will include a fashion show featuring selections from Talbots and Darien Sports Shop with Connecticut television personalities Kylee Knoles of News12 and Jocelyn Maminta of WTNH Channel 8 News on the runway.
The evening will be hosted by DJ Brian Smith and includes a wine tasting courtesy of BevMax, silent auction and recognition awards. Guests will be treated to an evening filled with music by Thom Adams, keyboardist with What Up Funk! and hors d’oeuvres provided by Garelick & Herbs to complement the selection of wines.
Since opening its doors in June 2009, Dress for Success has helped thousands of women move toward self-sufficiency by addressing their social and economic needs in relation to work, home and community.
