Earthplace's 10th annual Green Earth Fair celebration, on April 24 from 11 a.m. To 4 p.m., features earth-centric presentations, vendors and activities. At 1 p.m, there is Circus for a Fragile Planet, a playlet, followed by make-and-take crafts devised from things that usually are tossed out, like cereal boxes, paper towel tubes, coffee cup holders and egg cartons. At the craft area, kids convert these "throw-aways" into villages, flower bouquets, bracelets and more. There are recycling pointers and meet and greets with live animals like Barney the 10 foot Burmese python. Green vendors offer people new ways to shop and live green. Firehouse Hotdogs and MacDaddys mac-and-cheese truck provide food to sustain hungry visitors. Admission is $5. Green Earth Fair happens rain or shine. To learn more, visit www.earthplace.org.
