WESTPORT, Conn. -- The second annual CrimeCONN Mystery Conference, co-sponsored by the Westport Library and Mystery Writers of America New York Chapter, will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday in the library’s McManus Room.

The conference is a daylong gathering for Connecticut mystery book fans and writers featuring entertaining and informative panels with authors, forensic experts and publishing professionals.

Books by attending authors will be available for sale and signing. A fee of $25 includes admission to all panels, a light breakfast, coffee and tea in addition to lunch. Register online at westportlibrary.org .

Among the featured authors, publishers and crime experts is Michelle Clark, a medicolegal death investigator for the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Connecticut. She is a former crime scene investigator for the Waterbury Police Department and has a master’s degree in forensic science with a concentration in advanced investigations.

Another panelist, John Davenport, is a supervisory assistant state’s attorney in Waterbury. He has tried ,ore than 70 cases.

Juliet Grames is associate publisher at Soho Press, where she acquires and edits the Soho Crime imprint of international and multicultural crime fiction.

Parnell Hall is the author of the Stanley Hastings private eye novels ("Safari," "A Fool for a Client"), the Puzzle Lady crossword puzzle mysteries ("Puzzled Indemnity," "Presumed Puzzled") and the Steve Winslow courtroom dramas ("The Innocent Woman").
