WESTPORT, Conn. — An anchor from CNN who lives in town will share her experiences in covering the recent presidential elections in a talk Monday, Nov. 28, to the Y's Women of Westport/Weston.
Alisyn Camerota will be the guest speaker at the meeting of the Y’s Women at Temple Israel on Coleytown Road in Westport.
The meeting will begin at 10:45 a.m. with coffee and conversation, followed by the program at 11:30 a.m.
As CNN anchor and co-host with Chris Cuomo on CNN’s morning show "New Day," Camerota has covered breaking news stories, both internationally and domestically, including the Paris and Brussels terror attacks, the tragic South Carolina church shooting and the Pulse nightclub massacre in Orlando.
In the forefront of CNN’s coverage of the 2016 elections, she conducted interviews with the Democratic and Republican presidential nominees and many of the primary candidates.
Outside of her role on "New Day," Camerota has anchored primetime specials, including a panel discussion “Sexual Assault on Campus,” and “The Cosby Show: A Legend Under Fire,” a conversation with the comedian’s alleged victims.
In previous positions on the Fox News channel, she covered a wide variety of hard news and human interest stories.
She currently lives in Westport with her family.
