WESTPORT, Conn. -- Circle of Friends will host a teen and young adult volunteer orientation session on Wednesday, Aug. 19, from 5-6:30 p.m. at Beth Israel of Westport/Norwalk, 40 King St.
The event is geared for both new and returning volunteers and will feature a team-building game show with Hollyrock Entertainment, workshops, sushi and shakes.
There will a parent question-and-answer period at 5 p.m.
Circle of Friends is a volunteer organization that reaches out to children, teens and young adults with special needs and involves them in a full array of social experiences, home visits and play dates.
Programming is designed to foster a relationship between children and teens with special needs and community teenage volunteers.
