Bridgeport Vigil To Honor Victims Of Orlando Massacre

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — Bridgeport will host a vigil Wednesday evening to honor the victims of the deadly mass shooting early Sunday at a nightclub in Orlando, Fla. 

Kimberly Morris, 37, a native of Torrington, was among the 49 victims of a mass shooting at an Orlando nightclub.

The vigil will begin at 6:30 p.m. in front of the Margaret Morton Government Center, 999 Broad St., and is sponsored by Y.A.N.A. You are Not Alone and other organizations. 

A total of 49 people were killed, including a Torrington native, in the shootings, the deadliest in U.S. history. More than 50 people were also injured.
