Book Sale Returns To Westport Library This Weekend

WESTPORT, Conn. -- Westport Library is celebrating spring with its annual March Book Sale, on Saturday, March 5, through Tuesday, March 8.

The sale will feature hundreds of books for all ages, including a large selection of gardening books. There are also many comic books, books on spring sports, test-prep guides, as well as a large assortment of children's books -- none over $1.

In addition to books, CDs and DVDs, there's a new category, of "ephemera": paper items including vintage magazines, travel materials, playbills, cooking booklets, assorted pamphlets and more. All proceeds from the sale directly benefit the library.

The sale will be in the Library's McManus Room. Here are the sale hours:

  • Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sunday, March 6, from 1-5 p.m.
  • Monday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. -- everything half-price
  • Tuesday, March 8, from 9 a.m. to noon -- everything free, but a suggested donations of $5 per bag
