Saget, best known for "Full House" and "Americas Funniest Home Videos," also is a Grammy-nominated stand-up comedian for more than 30 years.
He will bring his blue act Friday to the Ridgefield Playhouse. Saget’s stand-up routine is a far cry from his “Full House” persona, said a press release.
The 8 p.m. show is "Rated Rish…Comedy for adults… and people with really good fake IDs!" Tickets are $55 and are available by calling the box office at (203) 438-5795 or online.
Saget recently finished a nine-week run on Broadway in the Tony-nominated play, "Hand To God."
The Ridgefield performance kicks off with Mike Young, whose "perception is sharp, his style is edgy, and the combination is pure comedy," according to a press release. He's performed on Showtime, "The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” “Last Call with Carson Daly” and toured nationally. Young's comedy blends "insightful social commentary" and draws from real life inspiration.
His directorial debut "My Man is a Loser," starring Michael Rapaport and Bryan Callen, was released in 2013. His 2016 film “A Stand Up Guy” stars Saget.
Saget has been seen several times reprising the role of 'Himself' on HBO’s hit series “Entourage,” as well as a cameo in the film. He also starred in his own documentary comedy series for A&E titled, “Strange Days with Bob Saget,” an exploration of unusual subcultures in America.
His 2013 one-hour stand-up special, "That’s What I’m Talkin’ About," was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Comedy Album.
Saget also appeared on the NBC quiz show "1 VS 100."
In January he guest starred on John Stamos’ Fox series, "Grandfathered," and in February returned to his family-friendly role of Danny Tanner in the reboot of "Fuller House" on Netflix.
The Ridgefield Playhouse is at 80 East Ridge, Ridgefield.
