Westport Celebrates Opening Of Amis Trattoria

WESTPORT, Conn. -- You can now enjoy a blend of traditional and contemporary past, seafood and antipasti dishes at Amis Trattoria in Westport, which celebrated its soft opening last week.

Westport's Board of Selectmen - Jim Marpe, Avi Kaner and Helen Garten - celebrated Amis' "soft opening" with general manager Dan Licitra.

The Westport location is the second for Amis Trattoria, which opened its first restaurant in Philadelphia. The restaurant is a product of the Philadelphia-based Vetri Family of Restaurants. The executive chef is Brad Spence, a graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park

Amis Trattoria is one of several businesses opening up in the Bedford Square development. It is located near Anthropologie, a clothing retailer that is also owned by parent company URBN, Inc.
