WESTON, Conn. -- Weston's Noel Lafayette was recently named to the Board of Directors for Solar Connecticut.
Lafayette, founder of SHR Energy Management, will take the role of Chair for Governmental Affairs and Policy, according to a press release. He is slated to "represent Solar Connecticut to the state legislature, utilities and stakeholders regarding the ongoing development of the solar market and regulatory matters in the state," according to the release.
"A lifelong Weston resident, Mr. Lafayette is one the pioneering commercial solar developers in the Northeast since 2006," representatives said in the release. "After holding several senior corporate positions, he founded SHR to bring commercial solar at more competitive rates in the rapidly changing business environment."
Solar Connecticut Inc. is a business and education trade association "whose rapidly growing membership has installed the large majority of PV and thermal systems in Connecticut over the past 10 years," according to the release.
