Westport Ski & Sport Store Sees Business Surge As Snow Flies

FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. -- Customers have been flocking to Ski & Sport of Westport-Ridgefield in recent weeks as the heavy snowfall brought out people ready to hit the slopes.

A story on Westfaironline.com said Pam and Gio Alberino, who own the store with two locations, have seen a surge in business since snow started to pound Fairfield County in late January.

John Alberino, father of Pam and Gio, and his wife Susan opened Ski & Sport in New Canaan in 1976. John died in 2004, and in 2012 Susan closed the store in New Canaan. Pam and Gio have been operating the Westport store since 2003 and the Ridgefield store since 2010.

Ski & Sport of Westport-Ridgefield offer skis and snowboards, rentals, clothing and BMX bikes and clothing.
